Ladylike Lace

From ladylike and fancy to boho or bridal, lace is versatile and full of personality. Though it’s a huge trend for spring 2012, I’ll be the first to say that I’ve loved it for a long time. Like any other style, lace can easily look anything but classy. It’s not a good thing when your outfit looks too much like lingerie. On that note, I’m a sucker for neutral-colored lace tops that can be matched with anything from jeans to dressy shorts.

$295 Tibi Lace-Front Silk-Chiffon Blouse

$120 Juicy Couture Bow-Front Lace Top

$295 Anna Sui Floral Crochet Tunic

I’ve owned a black Milly lace dress for years that has been a hit on both casual and more formal occasions. I sometimes pair it with heels and tights, transitioning it into early spring with sandals if it’s appropriate.

$96 Topshop Lace Racer Cute Skirted Dress

$338 Joie Rori Lace Dress

$525 ALICE by Temperley Esmeralda Mini Dress

$152 Velvet Cass Long Sleeve Lace Dress

$400 Tibi Strapless Lace and Silk Dress

If you don’t want to go all out in lace, try adding a touch of it to your outfit with a delicate accessory. I love RED Valentino’s lace ruffle clutch, as well as this beautiful piece by Ferragamo.

$1090 Salvatore Ferragamo Jeanette Lace Clutch
