The only inspiration I took from the March edition of Vogue was the need for more pastels in my closet. From model to model and page to page, I spotted tons of sweet colors à la cotton candy pink, sunshine yellow, and mint green. It kind of reminded me of Easter Sunday pastels circa age 5 but, of course, with a lot more edge and glamour. With floral prints and lace designs deemed as other top trends, it seems like femininity is in high fashion demand these days.
As much as I’d die to emulate these designer 2012 ad campaigns in my daily fashion choices, it’s not difficult to get your hands on more affordable pastel pieces. Mix candy-colored items with other trends, like neon items or pretty floral patterns. Or just keep it simple by mixing pastels with closet staples, such as jeans or black pants. A few fashion confections I’m coveting as of late:
Craving candy yet?
Oooh I agree! I’d like more pastels. So pretty. Thanks for the tip and the reminder that I want to go shopping… 🙂
